To those who have been asking what was in our Bestie Babe Reading Retreat bags, this blog post is for you!
* Please note a lot of items were purchased from local OKC spots, TJMaxx, HomeGoods, etc. so links are not readily available for most items. But this will help you get an idea of what we used and what kinds of items you could add to your goodie bags!*
We chose a bag that was large, flexible, and folds up into a smaller bag for travel. You can never have too many tote bags and this one was the perfect size! And to add a personal touch, we took the bags to a small embroidery stall in the mall to get names embroidered on each one!
One of the big items we were all most excited for was our matching sweatshirts! We worked with To Be Threaded, a local Texas small business, to bring these beauties to life. Leslie has so many fun apparel items in her shop that you should definitely check out! She was a dream to work with and should definitely be on your list if you are looking for embroidered apparel.
The other big items were an Indie book sleeve and reading pillow from Book Beau. Can't have a reading retreat without our reading essentials! Each design was made to fit the recipient and all the fun designs you saw in videos are definitely coming to our shop. 💕
In each bag was a small travel bag, found at TJMaxx. Inside these bags were little items like stickers, hand and feet masks, sunglasses, a polaroid picture holder, and more! One item to note is that Leslie from To Be Threaded threw in some extra goodies for everyone: book themed beverage sleeves!
The last fun item was a snackle box, because reading all day requires snacks. The snackle boxes were from HomeGoods but you can find them almost everywhere now! We also included finger chopsticks so we didn't dirty our fingers and in turn our books. And to make them even more fun, each person's name was written in vinyl letters and stickers available for each babe to make their box their own!
